The way Oaxaca drinks it
Mezcal, neat
No ice, no shaking, no hurry. A copita or a small tumbler, an orange slice and a pinch of sal de gusano if you can find it.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 oz BNAAA Mezcal at room temperature
- 1 orange slice
- Sal de gusano or flaky salt with a pinch of chile
Made with BNAAA Mezcal, the mezcal in every recipe here.
Method
- Pour the mezcal and let it sit for a minute so the alcohol lifts off.
- Sip. Do not shoot it. Hold it on the tongue for a second before swallowing.
- Bite the orange, dipped in the salt, between sips.
- Sip again. The second taste is the real one.
Tip. The old saying is para todo mal, mezcal, y para todo bien, tambiƩn. For everything bad, mezcal, and for everything good, the same.
